The Charlton County High School Auxiliaries consist of a group of individuals who use their talents to enhance the CCHS Marching Band of Pride. The auxiliaries consist of color guard, dance line and majorettes.

Color Guard members enhance the halftime show by integrating flag and dance into their routines. Members must have good academic standing and be in ninth through twelfth grade. Tryouts for color guard are usually in December or January. Hopefuls will have to learn a routine incorporating dance and flag, as well as demonstrate fundamental skills necessary for performing. No prior training is required.

Dance Line members enhance the halftime show by bringing dance to the field. Dancers will be under the instruction of Jessica Morrow. Ms. Morrow has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in dance. Dancers will perform using proper techniques. Members must have good academic standing and be in ninth through twelfth grade. Tryouts will be in January. All hopefuls should have their left and right split completed before tryouts. Tryouts will consist of hopefuls performing combinations of dance techniques as well as learning a routine. Prior training is recommended, but not mandatory to try out.

Majorettes enhance the halftime show with use of one, two and three baton routines. The members integrate a variety of props within their routines (hula-hoops, fire batons, chairs, hats, poms, and flag batons). Members must have good academic standing and be in ninth through twelfth grade. Tryouts will be in December or January. Hopefuls will develop a routine using some type of prop, as well as using one and two batons. The use of three batons, high toss cartwheels, and high toss front walkovers is a plus. Prior training is highly recommended.
